Compare one or many look-aheads with a schedule

Comparing look-aheads with the schedule on PC.o: what the field planned, against what the plan said. The Guide finds the gap instructive.

In Files, open the folder with the schedule and its look-aheads. Tools, then Compare LookAheads to Schedule. One schedule, one or more look-aheads, says the bar. Pick them from the list below, the schedule first.

Click the schedule: it takes the Schedule badge. Then click each look-ahead you want held against it. Each look-ahead takes an LA badge; one week or a whole season, as you please. Then Run comparison.

A dashboard opens at once, and is kept: the schedule, the look-aheads held against it, how much matched. The window: earliest look-ahead start to latest finish. Every tab tests the schedule against that span.

Where they landed: matched inside the window, outside it, in a look-ahead only, or in the schedule only. How far behind: an activity counts as behind when its latest look-ahead finish is later than the schedule's.

Four tabs hold the lists. Matching, in window: in a look-ahead and the schedule, dated inside the window. Matching, outside window: matched, but the schedule has it at a different time than the field does.

Look-ahead only: in a look-ahead with no matching schedule activity; unplanned, or unlinked, work. Schedule only: scheduled in the window but in no look-ahead; work with no coverage, typically submittals and admin.

Download Excel takes the whole comparison away as a workbook. Re-run after a fix replaces the saved result. Kept under Report Collections, Look-aheads: its window, matches and behind, with open, download, re-run and delete.
