TRANSCRIPTEvery word of the video, as text.

Importing Excel files into PC.o: weekly look-aheads, and schedules that live in a spreadsheet. The Guide notes that you need not explain them.

Upload a workbook like any other file. Do not say what it is; PC.o reads it and decides. A weekly grid comes back marked Look Ahead. Double-click the row to see how it was read.

The editor paints what PC.o found, with its confidence. Under seventy percent, it asks for a look. To fix a field, click its name, then its column on the sheet. Changes save as you go.

The field now points at column B, marked yours. Schedule ID matters only when comparing with a schedule. Pick the data date from the sheet's own dates. PC.o lists only the real ones it found.

The status line counts the activities and confirms every required field is set. Reassurance, in one line. Save the mapping as a template, and next week's sheet is assigned in one move: Tools, Assign Template.

Wrong first pass? Resend to PC.o, or choose This is actually a schedule. Several tabs? Break Out Tabs. Now a different workbook: an activity list with dates. Upload it exactly the same way.

This one came back typed EXCEL: an Excel schedule. Same door, different room. Double-click it. Its editor works the same way, with one difference: you press Save, and PC.o rebuilds the schedule.

An Excel schedule can be mapped, edited, converted and downloaded; the Gantt icon sits beside the menu. An Excel schedule is never analysed or compared. Ask, and PC.o declines politely: an XER, MPP or XML.

That was importing Excel files. Next in the Guide: comparing two look-aheads, this week's against last week's.
