TRANSCRIPTEvery word of the video, as text.
A duration is only days; a calendar says which days count. Here are the schedule's calendars, your library, and a holiday that moves a finish.
Open Calendars: this schedule's calendars on one line, your library across schedules on the other. A new schedule has one calendar: five days, eight hours. Every activity uses it until you say otherwise.
The work week: Monday to Friday, two shifts, eight hours a day, a weekend that stays at home. Edit opens an hour grid: click an hour to toggle it, drag to paint, or use a preset.
Non Work Days: click a date, and it is a day off. Pick a Monday inside the excavation. Save, then F9: Excavate was Friday 20 November, now Monday 23rd; the holiday took a day.
My calendar library is yours, across schedules. Two come ready-made, marked Built-in. Add to this schedule brings one in. Until then, an activity cannot use it.
Calendar & constraints, then Calendar: pick the seven-day one, and the activity can use it. Twenty-four hours, seven days: Erect steel drops to 2.7 days and finishes 3 December, a week sooner.
View, Activity calendars, ticked: each row is shaded by its own calendar's days off. Erect steel's row, on seven days, shows only the weekend band; the five-day rows carry extra shade.
Save to library keeps a calendar you shaped here, holiday and all, for the next schedule. A new schedule can start on any of them: its Calendar list offers your library too.
That was calendars. Next in the Guide: resources and costs, and a cashflow that moves as the schedule does.
