Simple mode links without IDs: the After column shows each activity's predecessor by name, the After box in Details picks one from a list as you type, and Link selected joins two selected rows.

In Simple mode nobody needs an ID: activities are linked by the names you gave them, as you would say it aloud.

Add the After column with View, Columns: each activity names the one it waits for. In Details, type a few letters in After, pick from the list, and the link is made.

Or select two rows and press Link selected: the lower one now starts when the upper one finishes.

That was links by name. Next in the Guide: logic lines, and partners who wander off the screen.
