The same schedule, five seats: a link, a viewer, an editor, a member who can only look, and an updater. Which are you?
A link and no account: the badge says View only, and there is no Export menu. The owner may put a password on it: type it, and press View schedule.
A Basic or Pro plan gives the viewer, signed in, with an Export menu the link never has. Export holds Excel Gantt, the 3-week look-ahead, and Print to PDF. The link has none of them.
But no editing: in the Files menu, New schedule carries a lock. The Scheduler add-on adds Edit beside View on a schedule’s row.
Edit opens the Scheduler in its own window, menus and all: the rest of this series. A folder member who cannot write sees it all; the status bar says Read-only, you have view access.
The editing commands are all there, greyed: looking is allowed, touching is not. An updater gets a link by email: their own activities, dates to fill in, submit. No account.
If the add-on ends, nothing is deleted: schedules are kept and open read-only. Resubscribe brings editing back. Account, then Plan: the Scheduler add-on includes ten updaters; packs of ten more are five dollars a month.
Five seats, one table: the link looks, the viewer exports, the editor changes, the member looks, the updater answers.
That was the five seats. Next in the Guide: adding the Scheduler, and what it unlocks.
