Every schedule in your Files opens in the Scheduler. Here is the door, the window it opens, and what happens to the file.
View reads, Edit opens the Scheduler. Hover Edit on an upload: it says try things out first. Right-click the Gantt icon for the same three doors: View, Edit, and a new schedule in this folder.
Edit opens a window of its own: name, source, engine, and whether the schedule is up to date. A banner says so: you are trying things out, and nothing is saved until you choose Save as.
Bottom left, the pill says the same: an uploaded file, edits not saved. Files stays where it was. One window per schedule; open it again and the same window comes back.
Change a duration and the pill, bottom left, turns amber: an upload is never edited in place. To keep them: File, Save as. The upload stays as it is; the copy becomes a PC.o Schedule.
Name the copy, or keep the suggested one, and press OK. The window carries on in the copy. From here every change is saved as you make it.
Back in Files, the copy sits under the upload, and Edit on the upload now opens the copy. The i button shows the schedule's details: its dates, its counts, the file it came from.
That was the door. Next in the Guide: how scheduling works, with the dates and the float in plain view.
