A schedule is never finished. Here is how to add, indent, reshape and undo, in the grid and in the Details panel.

Edit holds the basics: Add activity, Add milestone, Add many… for lists, indent, outdent, delete, undo. Add activity puts a row under the selected one. Name it in place.

Right-click a row for add above or below, indent, delete, a fragnet and a jump to a partner. Go to predecessor lists the partners that come before; click one to jump to it.

Add milestone below: a point in time, no duration, a diamond on the chart. Start fragnet from here lights this activity's chain and dims the rest.

Indent, or Tab, makes a level: the row above becomes a summary, and rolls its children up. Outdent, Shift and Tab, brings it back out. The WBS is built from these two moves.

Type a duration the way you say it: 3w, 10d, 4h. The engine converts. Enter, and 3w becomes 15 days, on a five-day week.

Or drag the end of a bar: a ghost shows the new finish, and release sets the duration. Details, General holds the type: a task, a start or finish milestone, or a level of effort.

Delete asks first, and offers to relink the row's predecessors to its successors. Undo brings it back, one edit at a time.

Add many takes a list: one line each, duration after the name, indent for a level. Details is the whole activity on one panel: eight tabs, from General to the Log.

Each tab is a subject: progress, calendar and constraints, resources, the owner, the log of changes. Show only what is set folds the empty sections away, so a long panel reads short.

Collapse all folds the schedule to its top row. Expand all, in View, opens it again.

That was editing. Next in the Guide: settings. Auto or Fixed, the engine's options, the data date, the look of the grid.
